Information on how Banks Renewables are working in your community:
- Kype Muir Community Partnership: The inaugural meeting of the Kype Muir Community Partnership was held in October 2016. This enables direct communication between Banks Renewables and the local community during the construction and operational phases of the wind farm
- Consultation Feedback: We held two rounds of exhibitions in December 2009 and March 2011. In the first round of exhibitions 154 people attended and 60 per cent of those who left comments were generally positive about the proposal. We analysed all the comments from the exhibitions and other stakeholder events and presented the final scheme in March 2011. 120 people attended the exhibition in March 2011. In response to changes we made due to feedback the approval rating increased to 79 per cent
- Current Position: We are continuing to liaise with the Community Councils and other stakeholders in the area. A Kype Muir Community Partnership group has been established to discuss the community benefits package which includes an initiative to help provide jobs and apprenticeships
- Survey Results: A telephone survey was carried out by Newington Communications in March 2011. 999 people were interviewed. 44 per cent of those interviewed approved of the wind farm proposals, 37 per cent had no real opinion and 19% were opposed
