You will provide general assistance to the site-based Banks Plant Solutions team and will be responsible for washing the plant equipment in a safe, responsible and efficient manner.
The Washperson / Labourer will spend their working day at our open cast quarry site based in Newark.
- Always carry out tasks in a safe, responsible and efficient manner.
- Carry out general manual tasks allocated to you.
- Operate allocated machinery that is contained in accordance with the Banks Licencing Scheme.
- Ensure that the safety check sheet for the machine or the vehicle they are using are complete and report any defects found via the defect reporting system.
- Operate pressure washers and other cleaning/processing equipment.
- Check machine fluid levels and correct compartment levels (as required) with accurate quantity and specific oil types as or when required.
- Implement the safe use of non-operated plant, as competent to do so, as instructed by your line manager.
- Ensure that the work area, machine, vehicle, and the tooling used is in a safe, clean and tidy condition.
- Complete in full and with adequate detail all the relevant documentation that is required in association with the allocated tasks and job role
- Support the Banks Plant Solutions team by completing tasks deemed safe and appropriate by the Plant Team Leader.
The role fundamentally involves contact with the site-based team, Banks Plant Solutions and Banks Infrastructure operational team.
ESSENTIAL:
- A positive and proactive approach to Health and Safety
- Driving licence
- Attain a Banks internal competency licence
- Attain and complete the modular programme relating to the specific role
- Actively work to complete the assigned development programme

- Folk lift competency, can be obtained in-house, if required
