Our Barton Proposals

Site Location Plan

Banks Property is looking to bring forward proposals for a housing development that supports the need for new homes in North Lincolnshire and provides the opportunity to deliver significant benefits to Barton’s local community, economy and environment.

As we launched the proposal at an early stage in the development cycle, we are still working up specific site details. This is a great opportunity for the local community to feed into this process to help improve these plans, so that any planning application we bring forward is in line with the priorities of the people of Barton.

Community Consultation

We’d like to thank the local community for all the valuable feedback we have received so far. We are now working through all of the comments we have received, which will help shape the design proposals we bring forward.

In terms of engaging with the community, we held an online webinar on Monday 23rd August 2021, as well as a face to face consultation event at the Salvation Army Community Church on Tuesday 24th August 2021. Indicative masterplan

Key Details from Masterplan

Location: Land to the east of the A15 and south of Horkstow Road
Size: About 25 hectares (62 acres)

No. of Homes: Up to 400

Site access points: Horkstow Road and Brigg Road

Transport: Discussions with bus operators to provide a bus service through the site

Connectivity: Creation of new footpaths and cycleways to link into existing network

Drainage: Sustainable Urban Drainage system (SUDs) has been incorporated into the masterplan, which will provide sufficient attenuation and water quality treatment to maintain the site’s current greenfield characteristics

Site status: Pre application has been submitted to North Lincolnshire Council in summer 2021 and community consultation has taken place. A planning application will likely be submitted in Autumn 2021.
