WE’RE MOVING:

Banks Renewables is re-branding to OnPath Energy. We’re building our new website OnPathEnergy.com – take a sneak peek and sign up for updates.

Supporting the UK’s transition to net zero

Established in 2006, Banks Renewables protects natural resources by developing, operating and managing renewable and flexible electricity generation and storage. Our development team works on onshore wind, solar developments and battery storage projects from inception, throughout operation and through to completion while developing with care.

We currently own and operate 282MW of renewable electricity generation.

We have planning permission for 307MW, with further 580MW in the planning system.

We’ve displaced 776,990 tonnes of CO2e from operational projects to date.

Supporting the UK’s journey to net zero

Mill Rig

To help meet demands for clean, green electricity, we are developing a high-quality six-turbine wind farm at Mill Rig. The project consists of six turbines with maximum tip heights of up to 250m – this will generate enough green electricity to meet the average annual energy needs of over 21,000 homes (or half the households in Midlothian) using methodology approved by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.

Connect2Renewables

Connect2Renewables is an initiative between local communities, local councils and Banks Renewables. Together, we are maximising the benefits of our renewable energy developments by ensuring local contractors are provided with the opportunity to join our supply chain and local people with employment and workplace learning opportunities.
