The site is allocated for housing in Midlothian Council’s Local Development Plan and the new housing will support existing and new services within the village. Banks Property previously developed the neighbouring Chapel Field site. Located just south of Doctor’s Field it was granted planning permission in 2014. The site was then sold to Miller Homes for them to build the homes. Construction was completed by Miller Homes in late 2016. Miller Homes renamed and marketed the development as Roselea.
