The woodlands and hedgerows were planted in 2006 with c10 hectares of native broad leaf woodland and 25,000 trees as well as 3,000m of new hedging. Native broad leaf species include oak, ash, birch, hazel and holly. The hedges contain species such as hawthorn, blackthorn, holly with hedgerow trees comprising of hazel, oak and ash.
