The Penny Hill Wind Farm Community Fund has been established to provide financial assistance to community groups, voluntary organisations and the local community in the area of the Penny Hill Wind Farm, near Rotherham. The geographical boundaries for fund eligibility will normally be restricted to the parishes of Aston, Thurcroft, Treeton, Ulley and Whiston. Projects outside of these areas may be eligible if it can be shown that they benefit local people from these parishes.
The Penny Hill Wind Farm Community Fund now receives £20,905.12 each year which is represented by members from each of the local parish councils eligible to apply to the fund.
