DEVELOPMENT SURVEYOR, YORKSHIRE REGION
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an ambitious regional developer with exciting growth plans across the Yorkshire region.
Banks Property has over 40 years of experience in developing high quality, sustainable development projects in energy and property. We work closely with landowners, planning teams, house builders, local authorities and land agents managing development activity from inception to completion.
We have an industry leading planning success rate achieved by our experienced internal professional development team. Banks Property has absolute focus on community involvement through our development with care approach. We have a high quality portfolio of development sites. We aim to be the developer of choice for landowners and communities alike. Recent work across the Yorkshire region has led to a requirement for a further land surveyor to play a key role in building our profile and portfolio across the area.
We are looking for the right person to join our development team with specific remit to:
- Identify, research and secure development projects across the Yorkshire region
- Work with landowners, agents and consultants to deliver these projects
- Coordinate all internal and external parties relevant to each project
- Agree and execute negotiation strategies for the projects
The successful candidate will work closely with the land manager to conclude current negotiations whilst liaising with landowners, their agents and consultants throughout the planning / due diligence process. You shall be supported by the experienced Banks Group internal team to help deliver these projects.
Applicants will have experience or qualifications in land, estates management, surveying disciplines or planning. Knowledge of the private property sector including a track record of completing negotiations and cementing professional relationships is preferred but not essential.
You will be a proactive, motivated and dedicated individual used to working in a fast paced environment. You will be commercially astute to understand the business implications of negotiation. You will have the communication skills to work both independently and as part of a professional team. This post is a regional role and you shall be home based but travel will be required extensively across Yorkshire and you will be expected to travel to The Banks Group head office in Durham (see: https://www.banksgroup.co.uk/contact-us/) approximately once a week. A current UK driving licence is essential for this role.
