We are looking for a replacement Workshop Mechanic to join the expanding company’s Banks Plant Solutions Division based at our Thrislington Workshop in West Cornforth. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will find your time predominately in the workshop or other associated working area. Your work cycle periods will be driven by planned Key Performance Indicators (KPI) delivery timetables and customer requirements. There would be an occasional requirement to assist and support Field Service Operations on both internal and external customer site locations. This will be done in a safe, efficient and responsible manner to achieve all plant department targets and objectives.

Applications are invited from candidates who have a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or higher in plant maintenance or working towards an equivalent qualification.
You must be able to understand and interpret technical diagrams and manuals and have a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices, technical, fault-finding and diagnostic skills. You will have exceptional mechanical knowledge, experience and dexterity, and have excellent attention to detail.
You will be personable, organised and self-disciplined as well as safety and environmentally aware. You will need to be reactive to changing priorities as directed by the management team and a team player capable of delivering excellent results under pressure and to strict deadlines.
You will have strong communication skills and must hold a full driving license. You will be a strong commercial thinker with true commitment to customer service excellence and ideally you will have a basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel and understanding of continuous improvement.
