THE OPPORTUNITY:

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced Secretary to provide administrative support to operational teams at Bantycock quarry. You will assist the Site Manager and Banks Plant Solutions team to ensure smooth running of the site office.

The position would suit someone who enjoys working in a varied and fast-paced environment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure effective handling of correspondence (internal and external).
2. Be fully conversant with Microsoft Office applications and any other software packages the company utilise, to enable you to provide the appropriate level of support to allocated staff. Ensuring all systems are operated in accordance with established procedures.
3. Provide administrative support to the Site Manager.
4. Support Banks Plant Solutions administration and procurement requirements as required.
5. Ensure high standards of efficiency and service are provided by constantly reviewing working methods/office procedures.
6. Ensure you have a knowledge and understanding of Company policies and procedures, especially those relevant to your own position.
7. Act as Project Secretary on allocated projects providing an efficient and high quality service to the Project Team.
8. Provide efficient and professional reception service for the site, (as defined in the relevant Working Instruction), promoting the company’s image at all times.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

This position will be site based in an office cabin within our quarry.

KEY CONTACTS:

Fundamentally contact will be with the Site Manager, Production and Plant teams.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential
• GCSE maths and English at least grade C or equivalent
• A full UK driving licence
• Excellent level of computer literacy in all Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and Outlook)
• A typing speed of at least 50 words per minute

Desirable
• An administration qualification
• Experience of writing concise reports

IMPORTANT DATES:
