Details of a new residential redevelopment scheme in Cardenden are set to go on show at a public exhibition.
Hamilton-based property developer Banks Property Development Ltd, part of The Banks Group, is proposing to build between 120 and 145 new homes on a 13-acre site just off Woodend Road in the town.
Local people can get their first look at the new scheme between 3pm and 7pm on Thursday 26 August at the Church Hall of Auchterderran St Fothan’s Church on Woodend Road in Cardenden.
Banks’ representatives will be at the event to answer attendees’ questions and gather opinions about what is being proposed, information which will then be fed back into the development of the final planning application.
Colin Anderson, Managing Director at Banks Property Development Ltd, says: “We have a long term commitment to developing high quality housing in Cardenden in partnership with both existing communities and the local authority, and will put the principles of modern sustainable development at the heart of everything we do.
“With the upturn in the property market, we would expect that this would prove to be an extremely popular place to live, and hope as many local people as possible will come along to the event to give us their views on what we’re proposing.”
A planning application is expected to be submitted to Fife Council before the end of the year.
