LOCATION: BASED AT SHOTTON SURFACE COAL MINE

An opportunity has arisen for a general labourer to join Banks Mining’s plant division based at our Shotton surface coal mine in Cramlington, see: http://www.banksgroup.co.uk/projects/mining/shotton/.
Reporting to the plant team leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing general assistance to the maintenance teams and those working on the coal processing plants. In addition the successful candidate will be trained to operate various equipment in a safe, efficient and responsible manner to achieve all plant department targets, objectives and productivity. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity for career progression should they show willingness and aptitude.
Applicants are invited from candidates who have some basic mechanical knowledge, be organised and self-disciplined together with being safety and environmentally aware. Candidates will ideally have good communication skills and hold a full clean driving licence.
